Amy started her career as a care assistant when her first child was 18 months old. Initially Amy worked night shifts as this fitted well with her family life at the time.  Amy progressed in her career and gained valuable experience working in several local residential and nursing care homes.  To support her development, Amy has achieved a range of qualifications starting with a level 2 and progressing up to a Registered Manager Award. Amy is now the general manager of three care homes, all graded ‘outstanding’ by CQC.

Amy believes that one of the main challenges as a manager is to ensure you are providing the best care you can possibly give and meeting regulations at all times. Amy finds it really rewarding to support her staff team to develop and progress; she is extremely proud of their hard work and dedication. Amy and her team are passionate about ‘going the extra mile’ to provide a happy and comfortable home to all of the residents.

Amy is proof that if you are caring, compassionate and committed, there are many opportunities to have an interesting and successful career in care!
